About the Author
Spencer L. Seager retired from Weber State University in 2013 after serving for 52 years as a chemistry department faculty member. He served as department chairman from 1969 until 1993. He taught general and physical chemistry at the university, and he was active in projects designed to help improve chemistry and other science education in local elementary schools. He received his B.S. in chemistry and Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Utah. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Weber State and the University of South Dakota, where he teaches online courses in general chemistry, elementary organic chemistry, and elementary biochemistry.
Michael R. Slabaugh is Professor of Chemistry at Weber State University, where he teaches the year-long sequence of General, Organic, and Biochemistry. He received his B.S. in chemistry from Purdue and his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Iowa State University. His interest in plant alkaloids led to a year of postdoctoral study in biochemistry at Texas A & M. His current professional interests are chemistry education and community involvement in science activities, particularly the State Science and Engineering Fair in Utah.

Careful, no product code for online course

Too early to tell if this text book is useful. This book does not contain the product code you need to use the online materials if your school/professor are using the online materials.
This is strictly the book itself and no code to license the access to the online curriculum that accompanies the course.
You may want to consider buy this text, with the online key code, from the college bookstore.

It's Chemistry

As a used book it was fine, many notes left by the person who had it before me- like back in high school. It's Chemistry, not my absolute favorite- but the book does a great breakdown to help you understand. It was also nice that they link it to everyday life.

My Prof uses the online resources and I am unable to access it due to the fact that buying this does not include the access code. I am very disappointed considering I paid a hefty amount for this book.
